This video reminds me why we chose the slow, long run together. With community initiatives, it doesn’t often come together like this. The magic was all the love on everyone’s part. The hosts, community collaborators, the guests.
Co-hosting this workshop also showed me why so few of these exist! They are enormously hard to implement! What a team it takes to get off the ground! Who leads, and where? You’re building processes completely from scratch.
Qingmei, Mingliu, and Mingwen are amazing teachers. It felt like gaining family sitting at Qingmei’s farm table, drawing and redrawing plans together. She always smiles. Storm on the way? We make it work. Gear broke down? We make it work. I’m even glad now how many things went wrong, how many times she showed by example what grace looks like under pressure and uncertainty. No matter what I’m doing or building, the people keep making it what it is.
