Leaving time and space for daydreaming have become like housekeeping to me, since I tend to pile intentions on top of one another.
Separately, they all feel like noble, necessary things. Together, they create a messy stream of consciousness that breeds repetition where I wanted progress, and surprises where I wanted stability. Then daydreaming blows through and points out how removed I am from my original plans; how much deadweight I've taken on recently in the name of opportunity.
That wrestling match is shown here with a composition split between visual resting space and a background that refuses to stay in the back. The subject's daydreams sprout where room has been made for them. She sits, resting. Noticing.
